“Tally” had a difficult kidding last year as she was carrying quads and it really pulled her down.
She was always in the top of her classes on the show circuit, right behind Brianna and Clematis, but it was not her year to
shine as she had in 2004. However, she was really working in the milk pail department, and is in contention for Breed Leader
awards for this year. Tally is the dam of Ambrosia, who is just as long and level as her dam with a lovely udder. One
judge pointed her out as the “Strongest in General Appearance in the entire show!“ She won a full GCH in June,
but had freshened so early in the year she did not carry the milk to very often place above Lady Johanna or Brianna. Tally’s
2nd daughter just freshened on the East Coast with the most exceptional udder her owner ((a breeder of 30 yrs standing) had
ever freshened. We also have kept her yearling daughter from Oscar, Mercedes, who will freshen in April. "Tally" aborted
this year about 2 months early and is slowly coming into milk, hopefully enough to continue in our show string, but alas no
new babies from her this year!
