"Leading in Production, Performance & Type, since 1973"
For 33 years now we have been breeding, raising, showing and milking DAIRY Goats. As the emphasis
has always been on "DAIRY", we are proud of our continued high production and longevity through many generations. We feel
this continuity is achieved by maintaining strong emphasis on correct body type, excellent mammaries, temperament and ease
of milking. Although we have raised all the breeds, Nubians are our first love and what we have primarily focused on. AND!
because we Love NUBIANS, we expect them to Look Like Nubians.
We love to show whenever we can, particularly at State Fairs, where we have been winning many
Best in Show, Best Udder, as well as nearly every Premier Exhibitor & Breeder award that we compete for. This year
following a move into our new farm, early kiddings, shows and a 2 week road trip in mid summer to the Nationals
in Indiana, Fairs in Illinois, we will forgo the State Fair Tour, all but our favorite in Amarillo, TX at the end
of September Giving us an 8 week rest.
We had an exceptional time at Nationals and in Illinois picked up 5 GCH legs, Finished our
2 yr old ABACADABRA, had a GCH/BIS win with LIBERTY, and a RGCH to her with a 1st Freshener, JEWELS. We
were also appraised within the same week we returned, and once again the girls (& Boys) came through with consistantly
high type scores, which have been updated.
We are now located on a lovely old estate farm snuggled between open
spaces and multimillion dollar subdivisions, back in Boulder Colorado where I grew up riding horses and only a few miles from
those magnificent Rocky Mountains. I believe that excercise is important to all living creatures, and here
we have room for all to run and graze. We try to let our goats live as "Naturally" as possible, but do a Pasturizing
Prevention program raising the kids completely separate from all adult goats.
Our goats are our best advertising,
so we are presenting for the most part just their Photos and the statistics. Please feel free to call or write if
you would like more particulars or information on any of the animals or planned breedings. We will begin kidding
again the first of the year from our old proven brood animals and breedings as well from several of our yearlings
held over from last year.
Many of our first fresheners will be bred to a Saanen for working at the dairy. So there
will not be many kids available from them this year. We did have a bountiful but late kidding season this spring, thus
we do have a few nice bucklings and one or two doelings left that may be available.
As you finish browsing through the goats, please feel free to check out our beautiful Maine Coon
cattery and our "Gift of the Goat" site for delicious hand dipped chocolate goat milk fudge TRUFFLES that we offer throughout
the holiday season.
Your friends in goats, Beverly Baker Goldthwaite and Carrie Baker Kahle
